Add Up The Savings With Business Fuel Cards

December 19, 2011 By: athony Category: Maintenance and repairs

Businesses are always on the lookout for savings. This is especially true for companies that have large fleets of vehicles. Fuel prices can quickly add up and take a big chunk out of business profits. Companies that rely on their fleet of vehicles usually have no choice when it comes to this since business profits are dependent on keeping the fleet running. Changing routes and adding a surcharge to customers is a way to keep costs down. It is not always possible to do this and customers may choose to go with a business that charges less for its services.

In recent years business fuel cards have become quite popular, and for good reason. The cards are easy to use and drivers no longer have to keep track of receipts. Managers of fleets are capable to obtain all pertinent information on one invoice. This makes it much easier to keep accounts and avoids missing data from paper receipts. VAT calculations are made simple, and the brand new release tax imposed on those using paper receipts can be avoided. Fuel cards can easily be ordered and if a card gets lost it can be quickly replaced. Keeping track of fuel consumption is made easy with the user-friendly interface.

There are several options when using these cards. Many large fleet operators choose to use fixed weekly rate fuel cards. The prices are fixed every week and can be used at all participating stations. No matter where the stations are located the prices will be the same. There are not as many stations participating in this pricing structure and it may be better for fleets that have a set route. Drivers no longer have to worry about keeping track of paper receipts, and accounting is made much easier. The cards can be set up so that only designated vehicles can be filled up.

Another option is to use a pump price fuel card. A large network of stations participates in this plan and it might be more suitcapable for the small business whose fleet does not have a set route. The discount is always taken off the fuel price at participating stations. Not all stations charge the same for fuel and this must be be taken into account. Business fuel cards are a good way to save a substantial amount of money for businesses of all sizes. Keeping track of fuel consumption is made easy and efficient.

be carefull drum brakes supposed to get hot

July 08, 2010 By: athony Category: Maintenance and repairs

my friend has replaced my drums and after he drove around for an hour or so, he touched this drum brake on accident when he was cleaning their vehicle wheels and they were pretty hot. They were not smoking and they did not have that awful brake smell, just wondering if it is normal for brakes to get hot.

Yep – That’s what they do – convert movement to heat…

Every hot rodder wants better
brakes and the prevailing thought is that
the addition of rear disc brakes is the
best solution. Not necessarily so. While
rear disc brakes sound great the actual
installation, adjustment and function can
be tricky. and what about the best solution for your rear brakes?? disc or drum, and the price??

you can download the manual e-book review through this link.
